Um, could I love these two any more?  NO, I could not.  They are two of the best kids around.

Two Sons, Lots of Fun | Mercer County Family Photographer

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

Remember this family?  I first met them when I did a maternity session while mom was pregnant with gorgeous son Bryce.  I loved working with creative and beautiful mom, fun, relaxed dad and sweet, conscientious big brother Dean (who is also gorgeous) – and this session reminded me how great this family is.  The boys were so cute and cooperative – I couldn’t get enough of them.  And I love parents who are natural and unconcerned in front of the camera.  Everything just came together and we captured some beautiful memories.  I can’t wait until next time!  Hope you love the photos.  xoxo

(Too Many) Years + Two Beautiful Children Later, A Great Reunion | Central NJ Photographer

Friday, July 15th, 2011

LOVE this family!  They were so much fun.  Mom and I went to college together about a million years ago.  You know…in the nineties – and there are some classic photos to prove it.  We reconnected thanks to the magic wonder that is Facebook and I was thrilled to get to catch up in person and meet her cool husband and really amazing children.  Little red-headed Ian just turned one and he was a very well-behaved and charming model.  Big sister Rosemary was lovely and sweet and so patient and gentle with her brother.  It was a really wonderful morning and we got some great photos!  Even though thinking about how long it’s been since we were young and carefree college kids makes me feel ancient, reunions always strip away the years instantly.  It’s the best feeling.  Thanks Kristen, for coming to see me – you look beautiful and happy!

The Dads are in for a Treat | Hopewell, NJ Photographer

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Oh the gene pool in Hopewell is rich indeed.  The children who came out for the Father’s Day Simple Session event in the studio yesterday were stunning, well-behaved, well-groomed :) and fun…there are some very fortunate dads out there, and I hope each of them enjoy the photos.

Dear Friend & Beautiful Children | A Photographer Smiles in Hopewell, NJ

Saturday, April 9th, 2011

My friend Nicole is one of the best.  She has a heart of gold, she’s hilarious, and she’s loads of fun.  We met many years ago at work and she impressed me right off the bat with her dedication, diligence, and most importantly, her willingness to laugh during the most stressful times.  And anyone who inadvertently but authoritatively refers to ebola in a meeting with doctors when the topic was e-coli will always stand out in my mind as a special person to be wholly loved.  :)  Ah, good times.

Our older children are only a month apart in age so we got to share the joys of pregnancy the first time around, and Nicole was a true and inspiring friend and support to me when I struggled with postpartum depression after my son was born.  Our play-dates were some of the few bright spots during those first months.  I missed sharing the infancy of my daughter with Nicole (she wisely chose to wait longer than 8 months between pregnancies!) but I’m thrilled now that her new son is here.  He is just as amazingly delicious as his beautiful big sister (who was such a good listener during our session – and a complete doll!).   Ugh, this baby boy almost makes me want another!

Great, gorgeous kids, and wonderful, beautiful Mommy, and a distinguished and charming Dad – all around, a pretty perfect family.  I’m so lucky to know them.

Hope you love the photos as much as I love you and your kids!

Perfect Baby Brother | Mercer County Newborn Photographer

Sunday, March 27th, 2011

Many laughs were shared during this maternity session – it was so much fun meeting and working with this family.  I just knew the newborn session would be amazing.  And no disappointment…not only was the new baby sweet and perfect, but mom was lovely and composed – despite having an only semi-cooperative three-year old also with which to contend.   The first weeks sharing your home with a newborn are strange and magical…this is true for adults and surely true for older siblings as well.  I enjoyed watching the evolving dynamics in the home of this family – challenging for sure in the beginning, but the ever-present and very apparent love between mom, dad and their two gorgeous boys promises balance and joy.

Enjoy your new son, he is precious!  And his big brother is amazing. :)

Teen + Tween = Fun Times (and Not an Ounce of Angst) | Hopewell, NJ Family Photographer

Monday, December 13th, 2010

That’s it.  I think there’s something in the water.  Because despite all the bad press teenagers get, I have yet to see any evidence of angst amongst the adolescents of Hopewell.  I mean, sure – I’ve spied some questionably low-riding jeans around town on occasion, but that seems to be the extent of it.  The brothers I met on Sunday were no exception – they were hearteningly…well, pleasant.  Great conversationalists, friendly, funny and intelligent – I really enjoyed meeting them and taking their photos.  They gave me hope that I won’t necessarily need to invest in heavy-duty tranquilizers in about 10 years when we’re embarking on puberty.  And for that I am impressed, happy, and grateful.  :)

No surprise, Mom and Dad were also wonderful – really welcoming, laid-back and open.  There was such an easy air between everyone in the family – the whole house felt comfortable and light – a place where people relate freely and are accepted completely.

I had a great time working with this inspiring family (and I loved the house tour too – you guys scored!)…hope you love the photos.

Twins at Three…Terrific! | Hopewell, NJ Family Photographer

Monday, July 26th, 2010

TWINS!  When mom contacted me about a session and mentioned 3-year old twins, I was thrilled…what FUN!  Then, as the day approached I started to get really nervous.  After all, I have a soon-to-be 3-year old and let’s be honest – he’s not the most cooperative subject.  How on earth could I hope to get not one but TWO little ones to work with me?  Well, I worried for nothing.  These two children were pure delight.  From sweet smiles and bursts of joy to clever quips and serious moments of deep thought the full gamut of childhood emotion was expressed and captured in only an hour and a half.  And this was amidst multiple wardrobe changes (mom was extremely well-prepared and had impeccable taste)!  I was captivated as much by the beauty of the twins as by their innocent spirit and I hope to meet them again over the years to see and document how they grow up.  As an aside, I also greatly enjoyed chatting with mom and dad…we seem to share an “appreciation” for suburbia.  :)   Enjoy the photos!

Around the House

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Winter weather and winter sickness have kept us laying low around the house these past few weeks.  Even the newborn session I was looking forward to has been rescheduled due to illness.  Without the opportunity to get out and about, my “sessions” have all been here at home with my two favorite little models.  (I don’t really mind though…I can’t actually get enough of them).

The 2-child Challenge

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

It seems impossible.  A feat only a photographer-superhero could hope to achieve.  But I’m here to show you it’s possible.  You CAN get a decent picture of two small kids at the same time!  I know, it’s madness but it’s true.
