Lovely, funny, lively Mom with an amazing sense of style.  Relaxed, hilarious, pro-cooking and pro-housekeeping Dad.  Gorgeous, perfect, amazing baby boy.  It is a thing of magic.  What a wonderful family – I am thrilled that I got a chance to know them during this special time.  Hope you love the photos.  :)

I’m happy to report that baby boy has arrived safely and I’ll get to meet him on Monday…I’m unhappy to report that I’m this far behind in my blog posts though!

This was an amazing session: a simply gorgeous setting, a nearly due mom who was willing to try anything, serene quiet and lovely light.   May every day of this precious baby’s life be as perfect and peaceful as this beautiful session.  Congratulations Michelle and Dan – I can’t wait to meet your son.

I love this family.  I love their warmth, genuine love for one another and kindness.  Working with them is to know joy.  I was thrilled to capture the wonderful surprise baby shower celebrating the upcoming arrival of their baby son – and I can’t wait to do the newborn photos!  Big sister “Biani” is so sweet, I know her brother will be as well.  Best of luck and sending easy labor vibes.  I look forward to the happy announcement.  xx

Coming Soon: A Baby Sister for Zach | Hopewell NJ Maternity Photographer

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

Zach is so excited to be a big brother.  Throughout the maternity session I had with his lovely and kind  mom he told me all about his sister on the way.  He told me how he planned to play with her, talk to her and keep her from crying.  He explained the importance of the big brother role and showed me how helpful he can be by assisting with my setup.  He kissed his mom’s belly and yelled a little to get his sister’s attention.  He was simply brimming over with joy and sweetness and he is quite obviously a dedicated and doting son and big brother already.  It was heartwarming and I loved every second of getting to know him.  Especially when he gave me a big hug and kiss at the end of the session!

Mom was radiant – a woman so full of life – literally and figuratively.  It was a great pleasure taking her photo – she exudes a gentle grace that is wonderful to capture.  And bonus for me, she knows EVERYTHING about our town so I learned a lot!

I can’t wait to meet baby Zoe – she is sure to be a wonder and I know she’ll be very well loved.

I hope you love the photos!

No Mystery Here – the Baby will be Gorgeous! | Mercer County Maternity Photographer

Saturday, January 22nd, 2011

I had THE BEST time working with this family – Mom is just stunning (and an awesome make-up artist as well – I think I need a partner!), son Dean was charming and sweet and Dad was hilarious AND cooperative!  It was a session made in heaven.  I loved that Mom had so many creative ideas and was willing to try anything.  We had a blast.  I hope to get invited back when this mystery baby shows up because I have a feeling this family will be loads of fun even on no sleep.

Oh and I’m sure you can tell from the photo below…but Dad is a Pittsburgh Penguins fan – and get this – he’s working on an ice rink in the yard.  I’m telling you, this is a family to know!

I hope you love the photos – I can’t wait to see who will be coming out to join the fun.  Easy labor vibes!

Gorgeous, Glowing & Growing – Maternity Fun | Mercer County Maternity Photographer

I was so happy when I learned that my lovely colleague was expecting her first baby.  She is such a bubbly, positive, warm-hearted person I knew immediately that she’d make a wonderful mother and I felt excitement and joy for her, her husband and their families – they are about to embark on an amazing adventure and I just know they will love every second.

Was I a bit excited for selfish reasons too?  Ok, yes…and I admit, I hounded her just a little – hoping she’d model for me since I’ve been wanting to capture the beauty of pregnancy for some time.  So when she decided that she did in fact want maternity photos, I was thrilled.

We had our session yesterday and it was so much fun – just as I knew it would be.  I have a feeling life is usually a lot of fun for this mom-to-be.  What a lucky baby she’s going to have!

Enjoy the pics!

(One side note – I think this might be the most personally expensive session I’ve had to date.  My lovely model pretty much sold me on her amazing VW Routan and I’m afraid we’re going to have no choice but to get one…what an awesome vehicle!!!)
