Two Sons, Lots of Fun | Mercer County Family Photographer

Thursday, November 24th, 2011

Remember this family?  I first met them when I did a maternity session while mom was pregnant with gorgeous son Bryce.  I loved working with creative and beautiful mom, fun, relaxed dad and sweet, conscientious big brother Dean (who is also gorgeous) – and this session reminded me how great this family is.  The boys were so cute and cooperative – I couldn’t get enough of them.  And I love parents who are natural and unconcerned in front of the camera.  Everything just came together and we captured some beautiful memories.  I can’t wait until next time!  Hope you love the photos.  xoxo

The Dads are in for a Treat | Hopewell, NJ Photographer

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Oh the gene pool in Hopewell is rich indeed.  The children who came out for the Father’s Day Simple Session event in the studio yesterday were stunning, well-behaved, well-groomed :) and fun…there are some very fortunate dads out there, and I hope each of them enjoy the photos.

Happiest Baby on the Block Photographed | Mercer County Happy Baby Photographer

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

I think every parent has a stashed copy of The Happiest Baby on the Block somewhere – I can’t comment on the advice given in the book because I don’t think I ever read it (hence the general misery of my own children) but we indeed own at least one copy.  And although I never read it, I know it is a book that helps parents teach babies soothing techniques to ensure that their baby can be, well, the happiest baby on the block.  Not such a bad aspiration.  I didn’t actually see the book at my clients’ house on Saturday, but perhaps Mom and Dad have memorized the book’s formula for baby bliss – because this child was easily the happiest baby on the block (and they live on a pretty large block).  We had a marathon mini session involving many outfit and hat changes and this guy cried once, for like a second.  Besides that single moment of frustration – I think it was one hat too many – this baby was nothing but happy smiles and good-natured play.  I had a blast taking his pictures.  Mom was super-organized and the short session moved quickly and efficiently (thanks, Mom!) and Dad was fun and relaxed.  What a great session with a great family.  Hope you love the photos – and have a very happy Christmas!

The International Language of Photography | Mercer County Family Photographer

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

I had so much fun visiting some of my favorite models last weekend.  I really love these two beauties and feel especially close to them since each child shared the same daycare class with each one of my own children.  And bonus: this time they brought their lovely cousin!  Grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousin were visiting from Canada so it was the perfect time to get some family photos.  We had a blast and although I speak no French and little cousin spoke no English, I think we got along famously and she knew exactly what to do – she is natural beauty and naturally comfortable in front of the camera – in short, these cousins are definitely related – they are all breathtaking.  :)

Hope you love the photos.

Boxing Day at Ikea

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Is it traditional in any part of the world to spend Boxing Day at Ikea?  We’ve decided to make it one in our household.  Good food, lots of fun stuff for a toddler to try out and of course a million things we desperately “need.”  We had a lot of fun.

Excellent Gene Pool

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

Last night I had fun taking some holiday pics of my future daughter-in-law.  I mean, I know I cannot say with any certainty that this will be the case, but a mom can hope, no?  Take a look at this sweetie.  This child is bright, funny, so precocious (she actually said “turkey carcass” last night!!) and simply beautiful.  A perfect match for my handsome, brilliant, tri-lingual son, right?!

When she wasn’t running from me, she was a perfect model.  Love her!

The 2-child Challenge

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

It seems impossible.  A feat only a photographer-superhero could hope to achieve.  But I’m here to show you it’s possible.  You CAN get a decent picture of two small kids at the same time!  I know, it’s madness but it’s true.

Holidays Sneaking Up on You?

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

I know I was quite astonished to wake up this morning and realize that December is mere days away.  If getting pictures done for your holiday card just didn’t happen this year, never fear!  Personalized photo thank you cards will be just as appreciated and will make a treasured after-holiday surprise for your loved ones.

Get in touch if you’re interested in scheduling a session so we can make a fun and personal card to show your family and friends your love and appreciation.  You know I dig this stuff, right?

Here’s a thank you I recently created after the baby’s Christening.

Ok, take that December!
